Cooperations by geographical areas
AUSTRIA
Cooperation between INRIA and its Austrian partners is quite recent. The first important common project started in the '80s (on algorithms). Though still at a modest level (2 visits of Austrian researchers in 1995) it will surely evolve in the future since nowadays 3 teams are working in common projects
- Algorithms : project ALGO (Rocquencourt) and the Vienna Technical University
- Robotics : project PRISME (Sophia-Antipolis) and the University of Graz.
- Control and optimisation for the users: project MIAOU (Sophia-Antipolis) with the University of Innsbruck and the Vienna Technical University.
Other less formal exchanges also take place in the fields of control, software engineering, data bases and simulation. In every case the subjects are well among the priorities for the Institute.
In the framework of multilateral projects Austrian laboratories and INRIA participate together in 5 ESPRIT projects and 3 HCM networks. The main partner in these projects is the Vienna Technical University.
